CloserBrief is operated by CloserBrief Pty Ltd (ABN pending), a company registered in New South Wales, Australia. In this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to CloserBrief Pty Ltd.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

Account information: When you create an account or join our waitlist, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name and company name.

Usage data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with our platform, including pages visited, features used, and timestamps. This data is collected via server logs and analytics tools.

Prospect data you provide: When you upload prospect lists or use our enrichment features, we process the company names and contact information you provide. This data is used solely to generate intelligence briefs for your use.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

Provide and improve our services, including generating prospect intelligence briefs and contact enrichment; communicate with you about your account, product updates, and early access availability; analyse usage patterns to improve platform performance and features; and comply with legal obligations.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (such as hosting, authentication, and analytics providers), and only to the extent necessary to deliver our services. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

Our primary infrastructure providers include Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and authentication), and OpenAI (AI processing). Prospect data sent to AI providers is not used to train their models.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers located in Australia (Sydney, ap-southeast-2 region) and the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, row-level security policies, and role-based access controls.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Waitlist email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Prospect data and generated briefs are retained for 12 months from creation, after which they are automatically purged unless you choose to retain them.

7. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your personal information, and withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you also have rights under the GDPR including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics cookies are used only in aggregate form to understand platform usage.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
